Harry Dean Stanton Fest

Harry Dean Stanton Fest 10:
Postponed due to Covid

Beginning in February of 2011, the city of Lexington, Kentucky has proudly hosted a non-profit festival in honor of Kentucky born actor Harry Dean Stanton. Begun in an effort to both celebrate the diverse film work of this legendary cinematic icon and remind the community of his Lexington roots, the annual festival utilizes various venues throughout downtown Lexington for screenings, speakers, concerts, and Harry Dean Stanton related events.

In honor of the festival's 10th anniversary, we are delighted to partner with the University Press of Kentucky and the Friends of the Kentucky Theatre for a Zoom chat with Harry Dean Stanton's biographer, Joe Atkins, to discuss HARRY DEAN STANTON: HOLLYWOOD'S ZEN REBEL. The event will take place on Thursday, February 4 at 8 pm and will also include a conversation with HARRY DEAN STANTON: CROSSING MULHOLLAND director Tom Thurman and Harry's longtime friend and guitarist, Jamie James.
